Dirt Road Rascals at Old Courthouse

Performing at The Old Courthouse on the Square on Friday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. will be the Dirt Road Rascals.

The Dirt Road Rascals is a group comprised of musicians from several towns in the North Georgia Area. The original Dirt Road Band started with Doyle Stanley and Earl Neal in 1995.

This band has played and performed for many venues in and around North Georgia . Reunions, County Fairs, Heart Fund Show, and countless fundraisers, including the Blue Ridge Annual Labor Day Barbecue since it’s first event, 30 years ago.

The Dirt Road Rascals have familiar faces that have been with Doyle for many years, Stan Hanlon, (too many years to mention) and Bill Cochran, along with Al and Dana Henderson. Newest member, Anne Martin plus guest members Rebecca Chastain and Mary Ann Henderson.

Definitely nothing has been lost in the mission of this long time band which is to give a mix of quality, fun loving, old time bluegrass, Gospel and mountain music, sure to please any ear that happens to be in a great place to hear them.

The Friday night concerts are presented by the Union County Historical Society as a public service and to keep alive the tradition of music in the old courthouse. There is no admission charge. The musicians donate their time and talents. Voluntary contributions to the maintenance fund are always welcomed and appreciated.
